I see a boundary between the seen and unseen, the temporal and the transcendental that the intuitive act of painting can illuminate. These symbolic boundaries appear most often in our relationship to our emotions, our physical bodies, the people around us, and the natural world.

I am interested in the relationship between chaos and order. For me, order is inseparable from logic, chaos inseparable for intuition. My paintings are ultimately concerned with the dichotomy of other/self, exterior/interior, above/below. The paintings create a relationship that might otherwise be unbridgeable" a relationship between logic and intution.
