CLOUDS MOVE HORIZONTAL, 2004, 27 pieces, 12"x12", Oil on plywood | Installation Autzen Gallery, Portland State University, January 2004

Clouds Move Horizontal began as a meditation on the expansive cloud formations centered around the Big Horn Mountains I watched while an artist in residence at Jentel, in Sheridan, Wyoming. The clouds appeared to change and move on a regular basis in a horizontal manner. ›&rsaquo I am interested in the relationship between the seen and unseen. A world that resides between above and below, or more easily put, heaven and earth. This unseen energy is what I believe constitutes rhythms and patterns inherent in our physical and emotional bodies. This installation serves as an investigation as a distinctive visible barrier between the two.
